In geography, we learned all about earthquakes, including how they happen and why they can be so dangerous. We explored key vocabulary such as epicentre, hypocentre, tectonic plates, fault lines and magnitude.
We also discovered that earthquakes can sometimes cause tsunamis, making them even more dangerous natural disasters. Earthquakes occur when tectonic plates move and collide beneath the Earth’s surface.
