Year 3 have been learning about rivers and what issues they face. We have looked at river pollution, flooding and erosion. The children have also learnt about how the rivers can be used for different things. They have looked at how The River Nile and River Thames are different and similar. The children have had the opportunity to look at dams and what they do. They built their own rivers using soil and used Lego to build dams to see how they work. “I have really enjoyed building them because I really wanted to see what dams are.”
