This term, Year 3 have been learning about the artist Brigit Wilkinson. They have explored her coastal-inspired artwork and created their own pieces in the style of her work. As part of this unit, the children also learned how emotions can be expressed through colour, and how different colours can change the mood and impact of a piece of art. They thoughtfully considered how their colour choices reflected particular feelings within their own creations. Throughout the project, pupils experimented with a range of artistic media, including coloured pencils, collage, and paint. This allowed them to develop their skills, explore different techniques, and build confidence in expressing themselves creatively.
