Parents and Friends Association
Welcome to the PFA section of the website.
Holy Cross Primary School has a thriving and well established PFA, dedicated to establishing strong links between home and school. Parents and Staff work together to provide fund raising activities, donate resources and organise social events that in turn provide a wide and richer experience for our children.
Any monies raised through PFA activities are spent on the "extras" that are not provided for by the school budget. We endeavour to spend our funds in ways that will benefit the children across all areas of the school and curriculum.
It is worth noting that without a PFA the following events and activities could not occur within the school:- Halloween and Spring Discos, Christmas and Summer Fayres, Christmas Cards, Sponsored Walk, Easter Egg Hunt, Non-Uniform Days, Leavers Party for our Year 6's, and the purchase of Rosary Beads for Year 3's. Due to the fundraising efforts over the past couple of years, along with a donation from the School Governors, one very notable achievement has been the purchase of a minibus for our School. It is a great reward to see the children having fun during the above activities, using the minibus or enjoying new equipment and materials that the PFA have donated.
If you wish to become involved in any capacity or you have some fundraising ideas that you would like to tell us about, then we would love to hear from you. Please leave a note with the school office or speak to one of us at the beginning or the end of the school day. Offering your help is very valuable to us. It doesn't matter if you are unable to help on a regular basis as we appreciate the busy lives that people lead.
We look forward to an enjoyable and rewarding year for everyone associated with the school and would also like to thank the Headteacher, Staff and Governing Body for their support.
