Term 4 has definitely been a busy term in Year 2. We have been extending our learning of Isambard Kingdom Brunel by looking at what made him a significant individual. We have looked at his engineering skills and looked at one of his greatest designs, SS Great Britain. We explored what made it such an important ship and one of the greatest ships of its time.

In RE, we have been learning all about Lent and the events that led up to Jesus’s death. We learned about the physical and spiritual journey that Jesus faced on his journey to the cross. We made stain glassed windows to represent the 14 stations that Jesus went through on his journey to being crucified.

We have also celebrated World Book Day. During World Book Day, we explored the book the Proudest Blue. We looked at what makes us different and how we should treat everybody equally. We also discussed how we should be proud of our own heritages. We have also celebrated Mother’s Day and made some lovely cards and flowers for the important mum figures in our lives. Finally, this term we have taken part in our Easter celebrations. We had great fun going around the school taking part in our Easter in a Box celebrations.
